Start Time: 7:00 AM — 8:00 AM
Course Description: This ride is for experienced riders only! It features more than 60 miles of scenic riding with 6000 feet of elevation gain. There will be 3 checkpoints on the course with water, Gatorade, and treats, and there are public bathrooms along the route. The ride will finish on roads going through the town of Los Gatos.

30K Ride
Start Time: 9:00 AM — 10:00 AM
Course Description: The 30K version of Jill’s Ride for Hope has approximately 1000 feet of elevation gain, with one short but steep climb leading up to the Mountain Winery in Saratoga. There will be one official checkpoint with water, Gatorade, treats, and access to public restrooms. All roads will be open to traffic so please stay in the bike lanes for safety.

Course Description: Ride, run, or walk the 5K route. A mostly flat route with a few short slopes touring East Los Gatos.

Bike Event Rules!
- All riders must wear a helmet.
- Riders must obey all traffic laws of the State of California. All roads will be open to traffic.
- Riders must check in at each checkpoint and at the finish line. If you choose to abandon the ride, you must contact the race organizer Louise Kobin by calling (408) 429-0757.
Bike Event Recommendations
- Bring your own water bottle and food with you to help you keep going during the 60 miles and 20 miles bike events. Water, Gatorade, and snacks will be provided at checkpoints.
- Bring a tube repair kit!
- Carry a cell phone and some cash.

"When Los Gatos High School freshman Jill Naber took her own life in March 2009, the wound caused by her suicide galvanized her parents into action. Last year Naber's family organized a bicycle ride to benefit CASSY, the counseling service that helps LGHS students cope with grief and other problems.

We're doing a rolling start, meaning that we're metering our publicity activities (pinging google, e-mailing last year's attendees, notifying local media, posting flyers around town, etc.) in order to shake out any small bugs that arise in the first few registrations without allowing them to become nuisances for our registrants or big headaches for ourselves. The first Jill's Ride for Hope event was held just last year. The event raised more than $20,000 for CASSY, enabling them to continue providing much-needed counseling services to the students to the LGHS community, and included the dedication of Los Gatos High School's Memorial Garden. Though suffering badly from the flu, Rob was a great sport to come out and participate and we appreciate him keeping his distance.
